1GBDouglas Coupland geboren 1961 auf einem NATO-Stützpunkt in Deutschland, wuchs in Vancouver auf, wo er auch heute als Autor und Künstler lebt. In den späten Achtzigern begann er für lokale Magazine zu schreiben, daraus resultierte 1991 sein Erstlingswerk, das ihn schlagartig berühmt machte und zum Sprachrohr einer Generation werden ließ.

Douglas Coupland first came to prominence as the author of Generation X (1995). He followed that with a sequence of ever-more daring and inventive novels, including Life After God, Girlfriend in a Coma and Hey Nostradamus! He lives in Vancouver.
